There is an astonishing amount of research on food addiction.  It is often described as obesity research, but reading it through the framework of food addiction yields valuable insights into how to approach overeating as an addiction.

Dr. Ifland is involved in research and maintains an extensive database of more than 5,000 studies describing some aspect of food addiction.  Her approach to education is built from her knowledge of the research, her association with food addiction professionals, and her personal experiences. You may note that much of the research used in the Food Addiction Intensive Training is new.  Researchers all over the world are now focusing on dysfunction in the brain as the source of overeating.  The Food Addiction Intensive Training incorporates these findings to assure members that they are benefiting from the latest research.
